We went glow bowling with Niverville United Church Sunday school. It was such good fun.
Here’s Elena, bowling in a lane that didn’t have any bumpers. After she released the ball, she would stand up and hold onto the sides of her hat, while leaning in the direction she wanted the ball to go.
Most times, the leaning worked. And the purple ball was lucky. By the ninth frame, Elena and I were tied, at 54 points. (Did I mention that I don’t bowl?) Oh, the bizarre feeling you get in the pit of your stomach, when you realize you really don’t want to get beaten by your nine year old! (But a good mommy wouldn’t try too hard, right?)
In the end, I got lucky and edged her out by one point. Lucky, I tell you! Whose idea was it to bowl without bumpers, anyway?!?
