Today is the last day of school for the girls before winter break. It’s pyjama day at school, which is a little passé, considering that’s all we’ve been wearing for close to a week. We got hit hard with a nasty virus, but I am happy to report that we are all now on the mend. I’m just so grateful to be upright and mobile!
You can only imagine the quantities of tea that were consumed during the week of awful; when all I could do was weakly call from the couch, and beg for a refill. That’s when I’m really grateful for my teenager, who was the least sick of us all (having been through it already the week prior.)
She also made goody-bags for the Sunday School recital. As I gestured and muttered incoherently from under piles of blankets.
So, we’re mostly all done here, and in a good way. Mostly, because I have one last present to buy and one last present to see if I can find, and I have to get to the bakery before they close for Christmas. Like I said, I’m just so grateful to be upright and mobile.
Christmas can come now.
