Some words to describe the last two weeks:

I’m never doing that again…

I started getting the idea that it was pretty unusual around here, when the tradesmen would walk into the house and exclaim, “Oh, I didn’t know anyone was living here! I thought this was still a construction site!”

Basically? On Monday, we will have been here two weeks. It’s finally starting to get just a tiny bit organized. Things have been crazy up in the air, with no shower doors, interior doors, mirrors or oven…

But the gorgeous light streaming in the south-facing windows, and the insulated garage (it’s -20°C for the high today!), and the pot of soup on the stove; home is here now.

I’m so behind with everyone … delighted to read you are ‘in’ … hope the dust settles soon, literally and metaphorically!

    Oh fantastic!
-19 was our lowest overnight temp ever. I can’t imagine -20 as a high.

    Oh well done!
-20? if it got that cold over here everything would completely grind to a halt.
