Newly planted and exactly what that corner needed! I absolutely love my evergreen corner. The idea behind this area (southwest corner) was to create a more naturalized section of the garden.

The plantings are meant to look a little more “woodsy” and so far include: Savin juniper, Moonglow juniper, mountain pine, purple-leaf rose, Cardinal dogwood, dwarf garland spirea; big bluestem grass, Northwind grass, some lupins and a white anemone.

I want to incorporate some black-eyed Susan, some coneflower and some sage, but the ideas need to percolate a little more. A work in progress; and getting that mountain pine planted before work this morning has me so happy, I’m still a little giddy every time I look at it!
